The Observer

Before I leave each morning for my run, I take a few minutes to stretch outside next to our mailbox, holding onto it for balance as I stretch my hamstrings, quads and rotate my ankles to get all the snap! crackle! pop! out of them before heading down our street. And every morning as I'm doing all that, I look back towards our front door and I can see a silhouette of Langley, watching me through the little side windows on each side of the door. It's only her head and ears that I see, but I can imagine her sitting right by the door, her front paws turned in ever so slightly, giving polite little tail wags and wearing her ever present patient face as she observes me outside going through my daily routine.

It's a nice little send off each day.
